In my own case, “faggot” is a label with which I am increasingly comfortable with. For me it is a welcome release from a lifetime of struggle to prove myself anything equal to real men, a struggle which I now realize was always doomed to end in failure. I genuinely appreciate being called “faggot” by a real man. It describes what I am by nature: apparently male and yet, as evident from my habits and general demeanor, so much less than a man.
